Drop Shipping: From Anywhere, To Anywhere, Here's How

Posted by Matt Garrison on 3rd Mar 2015

Merry March, Buck Buddies! Spring is in the process of springing, and it's the time of year when people start enjoying the outside weather, from Jackson, MI to Jackson, MS. And to celebrate getting out of the house, this blog update will focus on drop shipping, and the frequently asked questions about it.

Q.) What *is* drop shipping?

A.) There's several answers to that question. For most folks, any shipment not sent to the billing address is considered drop shipping. Some companies refer to "drop shipping" as a shipment sent out with no identifying features. This means that one company could sell you our hats, then place the order, and send it to you without you ever knowing about where they came from. Other companies refer to this as "blind drop shipping", or just "blind shipping". For our purposes, we will be sticking with the first definition.

Q.) How do I drop ship an order?

A.) That's easy. When placing an order, just give us a different shipping address. That's it.

Q.) How do I BLIND drop ship an order?

A.) Technically, you don't. Or, rather, we don't offer blind drop shipping. We can ship an order without the usual invoice, but our information will still appear on the outside shipping label. If you would like us to send the order out without the invoice just say "ship without invoice" in the notes section for your order.

Q.) Can anyone drop ship with you?

A.) Yes, but.... the "but" here is our security protocols. For your protection, we prefer first-time orders to ship to their respective billing addresses. This helps prevent identity theft for you, and order fraud for us. While some smaller orders will be processed, large orders placed on new accounts will require at least one non-drop shipment before you will be permitted to drop ship.
