Tanktops only became popular recently. Around the 30's, men would wear tanktops in movies, but it was not a typical piece of clothing. This changed during the 70's when the world became more liberal and both men and women began using tank-tops on a regular day-to-day basis. Sometimes wearing a t-shirt can feel like too much clothing, especially during the summer. That is why the tank top can be a great addition to one's wardrobe when attempting to wear light, minimal and comfortable clothing.
But, what is a tanktop?
A tanktop is a sleveless shirt. It consists of a low neck and different shoulder strap widths. They are usually very comfortable and can be worn by both men and women. Tanktops also serve as buffers when worn as undershirts. They can trap sweat and prevent stains from forming on the outer shirt.
