How To Change Your Mind: What You Need To Know About Cancellations and Refunds

Posted by Matt Garrison on 8th Feb 2015

Hello, again, Buck Buddies! Today, we'll be discussing how cancelled orders work, our refund process, and a few other related odds and ends.

Q.) I need to cancel an order, what do I do?

A.) That's pretty easy. Just call or email us as soon as possible, and ask us to cancel the order. Simple as that.

Q.) I don't need to cancel an order, just edit one. How do I do that?

A.) Unfortunately, we cannot edit orders once they are in our system. We can only cancel the order, place the paid value back on your account as a store credit, and let you place a new order. Otherwise, the order will process and ship as originally ordered.

Q.) How long do I have do cancel an order if I need to?

A.) Not as long as you'd think. Orders take 1-3 business days to process in our warehouse, so if you catch your order before its ready to ship, we can help you out. However, FedEx rush delivery order, as well as USPS orders, tend to process quickly, so your options may be limited. Again, contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you need to cancel, and we will do what we can to help.

Q.) My order has already shipped, but can I cancel it anyway?

A.) Funny thing, actually: No, you cannot. Once an order is collected by the shipping agency, the order is no longer under our control, and the money paid for the shipping of the order has already been surrendered to the shipping agency. You may, at your discretion, contact the shipping agency to have the order returned to us, or refuse delivery of the package to have the items sent back to us. However, any refund processed for these orders will NOT include the cost of shipping. Furthermore, if an unwanted package is successfully delivered, the cost of return shipping will be your responsibility.

Q.) How long does it take to get my refund?

A.) That depends on how you paid, and what sort of refund you'd like. There is always a manager on duty for as long as the office is open during the week, so a store credit refund can be processed instantaneously during office hours. However, our creditor is only available Wednesdays and Fridays, so refunds back to source of payment will only be processed on those days. Furthermore, if an order was paid for using a debit or credit card, the refund can take up to five (5) business days to reappear to your card's account.  While there is also a wait time for PayPal and Amazon Simple Pay orders, this delay is usually much shorter.
